Can't receive POP3 emails but can send them

I have a POP3 email server I am trying to connect to. I
set up my email account fine and I can sent emails but I
cannot receive them. I get the following error message.

Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-
mail server.

I have a norton firewall but I still have them same
problem if I diasble the firewall.

My question is whether its my outlook settings that are
the problem (I had this same problem with outlook 2000), a
problem with the server or my laptop computer.

What's your POP server set to in your e-mail account settings? If you can't
get to it even with your firewall disabled, sounds like it isn't entered
properly. Verify with your ISP/admin that it's set up correctly.
