Can't remove linked project files from Project 2003

Hi
Windows XP SP2
I have a user who can't remove linked (Insert | Project) project files from
Project 2003 (SP2).

They press the delete button and nothing happens. Same happens for other
users that log on to that same PC. No error message. The files are not
read-only.

Thanks
Jonathan.

Jonathan,
First of all simply using the delete key to unlink a subproject is not
recommended. Sure it will get rid of the subproject, but a link fragment
will be left in the subproject file. The recommended procedure is to
highlight the subproject summary line insertion point and then go to
Project/Task Information/Advanced tab and uncheck the "link to project"
option. Then you can safely delete the subproject from the master. This
will avoid possible file corruption downstream.

And oh by the way, there was an issue of not being able to delete
subprojects in Project 2003. It was fixed by the SP3 update.

Hope this helps.

Do you have a KB number for the issue?
