can't resize notes

Somehow I made one note fill the screen, and now they all
take up the whole screen when they're opened. I try to
drag the right bottom corner, to no avail. After an hour
wasted, I'm going nuts. HELP!

Double click the title bar of the note. Sounds as if it's been maximized,
and without a Maximize/Restore button, the only way to undo it is the above
trick.
