can't seem to load moffice 2002 with existing key to new laptop

Gary

I have run student/educator of Microsoft 2002 on a previously owned laptop
which died.

I tried to load the program on my new laptop and it (the Microsoft
prograram) states the 'key is ivalid'. I know it isn't and is written right
on my cd documentation.

As mentioned it was only loaded one time and I would think is useable /
loadable on my new system.

Any ideas as to the problem and how to fix?? Thanks a bunch for your
feedback.

Did the new one come with a previous version of office???

"Bother," said Pooh as he struggled with the computer.

"It never does quite what I want."

"I wish Christopher Robin were here."

If your new laptop came with a trial version of Office 2003
preinstalled by the computer manufacturer, you should uninstall
the trial version (Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs)
before you install your copy of Office XP.
