Can't Send Attachments! Help Please!

Hello-

I've searched and searched and although a bunch of folks are having this
problem-I've not seen any solution posted.

When I attach doc's to an email in Outlook 2002, on an intermittent basis, I
receive the following error message:

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook."

When this happens I have to close the email message and start all over
again. It's really annoying if I've attached a large number of documents.

It seems if I attach the documents after writing the message I'm usually
able to send without the error message. Oddly, if I attach first, then
write the message I almost always get the error.

I've repaired my .pst file (no errors). I've uninstalled and reinstalled
Outlook.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello Kalama,

This is most likely the mapi interface that the error is
referring to (or mail subsystem). Try renaming the
MAPISP32.EXE, MAPI32.DLL and MAPI.DLL files in
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 (or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32), and copy a
fresh set of the same files, to the same folder, from your
Office install CD.

Regards,

Randy
