can't send email from wireless router

I can send from my school router but not my netgear home
router. I have ried reducing the MTR but that didn't do
it. Any suggestions

What happens when you try?
Are you using the right SMTP server? If it's your school's mail server, can
you authenticate to it in your account properties so that you can use it
even while not on their physical network?
Check with your admins for help on that if you need it.
