hi there

I have just set up Windows Mail to recieve my AOLemails. (not Outlook).
however, when i try to send it just says :

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Marquis Estate
Brochure', Account: 'imap.aol.com', Server: 'smtp.aol.com', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

what does this mean and how can i set up Windows Mail to be able to send out

You said you aren't using Outlook, but you posted in an Outlook newsgroup.
Should be in Windows Mail newsgroup, don't you think?

A: You got the wrong group.

B: You are using the wrong port (looks like your ISP is blocking port 25).
Use port 587 instead.
