Can't send or receive

RanMan

Whenever I hit send/receive I get the following error:

"" The operation failed. An object could not be found.""

I just reinstalled my entire harddrive, all the updates for office xp pro,
imported my .pst file and believe everything is in order, but...

I've checked my accounts and all seems to be normal, however obviously it is
not.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Randy

Try adding a new .PST file and removing the old one just to see once if it
works or not. Its possible that your .pst files is corrupted and is causing
this error.

Thanks. I had to add each folder one at a time from a good .pst file. Pain!!

But it worked.

I followed the procedure in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 312354, and it
has fixed my problem. Send/receive now works fine.

I found it easy to do. After I created the new profile, I tested it by
setting up one of my email accounts (cable broadband) and then imported the
remaining POP3 accounts from Outlook Express.

The new profile had created "outlook1.pst". I imported all the personal
folders from outlook.pst into the new profile. My contacts, calendar,
emails, etc were intact in the new profile. I then removed the old
"Outlook" profile.
