Can't send or rreceive internet mail

Outlook 2000 won't allow me to send or receive mail through my server. I
have set up the same account on another computer with the same OS (Win XP)
and it works fine. When I attempt to use the repair function it acts like
it wants to repair but cannot; a blank "file progress" window appears
briefly and then disappears. The repair function then finishes, but I still
cannot send/receive?

Prior to this problem I converted my file system from Fat 32 to NTFS. Could
this have caused the problem?

There are several reasons for this to take place. The
exact error message has to be noted down and each error
is associated with a relevant cause.

Outlook 2000 gets affected by third party firewalls and
also Antivirus softwares that are updated.

A detect and repaitr of outlook helps if teh application
is causing problems while launching or closing.
So problems in sendind and receiving are due to third
party applications most of teh times. So perform a
cleanboot of your system so that all teh third party
applications are disabled an then try send and receive
also suggest you to make a note of teh error and look
into www.support.micrsoft.com

Thanks for the help. Through the clean boot process I found out that my
Zone Labs firewall was causing the issue. I disabled it and now Outlook
works fine. Now to deal with the firewall issue.
