Afetr being a lifelong outlook express user I decided to try Outlook. I
have set up my internet POP3 account and sent a test message from outlook
express, which arrived just find. However when I hit the reply button to
send it back again it wont send. Am I missing something basic? I have
checked the account settings and they appear to be fine. Sorry I am not the
greatest with computers so please forgive me if there is an obvious
soloution I am missing!

TIA

What version of Outlook are you using ?
When you set up your Outlook email account, did you do it manually or use
the FILE, Import/Export method (Import Email account) as this normally works
fine with OE and Outlook. Sometimes you do have to enter (or reenter) the
password.
What happens when you hit send ? Any error message ?

Outlook 2000 SP-3

I did it manually but I will try the import/export option

No error message at all, in fact it says task completed successfully yet the
message is just sitting in the outbox!!

Angela,
What you mean for once I got a answer right ? :)

I had the same problem, I set up an account the old fashioned way and then
also imported the settings and did a Print Screen of each page and they were
exact. My guess is that it must be a password that is getting changed
somehow, but I had tried entering the correct password over and over and
never any luck, until I did the import.
Glad its working for you now !
