Can't update timelines..

Sherry

I have a Timeline in Visio 2000. If I righ click on a milestone and select
Configure Milestone it never comes back so I can make my change. I can
click on anything else so it's not as if Visio's locked. What might this be?

I'm totally confused and missing my due date.

Check Tools>Options>Advanced and verify the Automation events are turned on.
(If you have to turn them back on, restart Visio.)

If this does not work, try starting a new Timeline from the template in
Visio, and then copy your timeline into that drawing.

It was turned on. Is this a known bug? This timeline used to work OK and
I've had the same problem with a few other timelines.

Without checking your drawing, I can say for certain what is wrong. The
most likely scenario is that the Timeline add-on is not being launched when
your drawing is opened in Visio. If you can successfully create a new
timeline using the template, then this is almost surely the case. The
workaround for this issue is to copy the contents of your drawing into a
document where timeline is working properly.

If you create a new timeline does that work? If not there may be a
configuration problem with Visio. Go to Help > Detect and Repair (if memory
serves for Visio 2000).

If you can create a new timeline that works but pasting your existing
timeline into that document does not, there may be a problem in the shapes.
In that case you might want to post an example (after deleting any sensitive
information).
