case alteration...help please

I am unable to obtain the answer for the following in EXCEL newsgroups so I
am trying here.:

As we know in WORD we are able to select any text entries then
"format/change case" option via the MENU, but I am unable to find this
option in EXCEL, without I use a formula, which I do not wish to go that
route unless I have no alternative?
