Cell colour change if formula displays false

R

Hi
The problem is as follows;

In column A I have a 5000 rows of numbers, and in column B I also have
5000 rows of numbers. Now in column C I want to put a formula that
will say that if a number for example in A1 does not equal B1 then C1
will display the text "FALSE" and also the cell colour of that
particular row i.e. A1 AND B1 will change to a different colour such
as red. However if C1 comes out as "TRUE" then A1 and B1 cell colour
will not change.

I hope I am making sense. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Raza

You don't need the formula in C1.

Just select A1 & B1 and Conditionally format for A1<>B1

Format to red.
