Cells Disappearing in Table

I have a form on a site that has a table(form) for our customers to fill in
and submit. When the confirmation page appears with the "filled In" info, all
the info is intact, but one of the cell columns is gone. Just blank white
space, no borders, nothing. Information that is filled in shows up in that
cell, but otherwise it just disappears. Poof...gone. Anyone have a clue?

Please give a link to the pages concerned - display problems are
difficult to solve without seeing all the code.

If any fields do not have any data in them when the form is submitted,
the corresponding cell in the confirmation page will be empty. Empty
cells will collapse, meaning any borders around them will disappear.
I suggest adding a non-breaking space to each cell, for example (taking
one cell at random):
<td width="36%">
<!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField" S-Field="Labelbw1550_24" startspan
--><strong>Labelbw1550_24</strong><!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField"
i-checksum="322" endspan -->&nbsp;</td>

This can be done easily using Find and Replace - Find </td>, replace
with &nbsp;</td> in code view.

Also note that the form may fail to send results to email, since the
FrontPage form handler can only cope with 1 email address.
Also in Form Properties, change
http://www.greatsouthwestwholesale.com/Labels/Confirmationbw1550.htm to
Confirmationbw1550.htm The absolute address may also give problems.

PS - A space in each cell may cause layout problems. A 1px x 1px
transparent image can be used instead - anything to add content to the
cell when the field is empty.

Thank you, I will try that. I have tried a transparent image in the cell, to
no avail. I appreciate the knowledge.

I tried the find and replace, again to no avail. I must add that I have many
of these pages and it is very tedious to change on each page. Some of the
changes cannot be done globally. Any other ideas?

If you have FrontPage 2003 you can search and replace with regular
expressions.

In the page Labels/Confirmationbw1550.htm

Find what: <!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField" {.*} --></td>

And Replace with: <!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField" \1 -->&nbsp;</td>

Also tick "Find in source code".

This will add a non-breaking space to all but 1 of the table cells. The
1 is a cell that uses different code than the others (Label number) and
does not need to be changed anyway. If you prefer to use a transparent
image, then

replace with: <!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField" \1 --><img
src="../images/tp.gif" width="1" height="1" alt=""></td>

where tp.gif is the transparent image.

I really appreciate the infor, but it still does not have the box appear. I
tried the find and replace. The form works fine, it is just really
aggravating that it looks funky. Not very professional. Any other ideas? I
changed all of the confirmation page names as you suggested.--

Thank you for the info, A
