Centering Web Pages

Does Microsoft Plan on making any changes to this feature? I am really
disappointed. I have used other products that were easier to use and don't
have this problem. I have spent several days builing a site that looks
stupid all shoved to the left.

Please understand that Publisher is a desktop publishing program first and
foremost. You're taking advantage of an additional capability. If you're
looking for a program that's easier to use for websites, consider FrontPage.
(Purely my opinion)

Then you're gonna be really really disappointed when you discover how html
works.

Pub is designed for dtp not web publishing although it can do simple
webs...and Excel can export html and so can Word but they are not the tools
for developing websites.

You may want to look at FrontPage to develop webs, but you're still gonna
need to have a basic understanding of how html & css work...in other words
theres a little bit of a learning curve especially coming from
paper-thinking.

Nope to your question. As for your disappointment, I have to point out that
I got so tired of customers complaining about Publisher using the most

I am in the process of creating a web page using Publisher and was
encountering the same problem of everything being at the left. After talking
to a friend who has her own web site using Publisher, I found out how to make
everything centered. I had to start from scratch, but on a new blank web
page, I selected Page Setup. Under Page Width, I selected Custom and played
with the numbers until I liked what I saw. My dimensions are currently 10"
for Width and 20" for Height. Now, I haven't published my site to the
internet yet, but when I hit Web Page Preview, everything is centered. It
also appears that when you Insert, Pages After the first, they retain the
Custom dimensions. Hope this helps! If not, please don't criticize - I'm in
no way a fountain of computer knowledge...just passing along some info I hope
can help others.
