change an item on a toolbar

Hi everybody,
Is it possible to resize-enlarge the toolbar box that shows us the name of
the current style?
I would like to make it a bit longer so that better descriptive names fit
in.
We have Word97 and 2000 versions.

Hi Flip,

Bring up the "Tools > Customize" dialog (fastest way: double-click on an
empty toolbar area).

Select the style dropdown by clicking on it once.

Move the cursor over the right edge of the dropdown; the cursor should look
somewhat like
<-|->

Now drag the right edge to scale the dropdown to the size you want.

Since you've changed Normal.dot (if you haven't specified another template
in the dialog), you may be asked if you want to save changes to Normal.dot
when you quit Word.

Greetings,
Klaus
