Change default margins?

How do I go about changing the default margin width for my documents in
Word?

To change default settings you need to change the template file normal.dot

File | Page Setup | Set the margins you want and click Default on the bottom
left hand side. Answer Yes to accept change to Normal template.

File > page setup > margins > adjust then click 'default'.
Save normal.dot when prompted on exit.
