change size of document for printing

Keith

I have created a 24"X36" document to be printed on our plotter. I would like to know how to reduce and print this document to 8 1/2" X 11" as easily as possible. Thanks...

Publisher does not offer a built in solution for this. You would need to
create a duplicate of your publication and group all of your objects and
resize accordingly.

Otherwise, some printer drivers offer "fit to page" reductions, such as
HP's ZoomSmart Feature or even Adobe's "fit to page" features. Unless
your printer driver is capable, your best route will be work arounds
similar to what I just mentioned.

Brian has already given you the approach. I'd add that taking the
postscript, distilling, then save as eps and place that in Croel Draw (even
Publisher) or something would work as well

I find that for my Encad it works better to make the original a rediced size
and enlarge it on the rip. Large format rips are quite good at doing that.
Normal printer dirvers and applications are not.

Your 24x36 (which is going to have to run slightly reduced anyway on either
a 24" or 36" plotter since you have a dead zone at each edge) would work
well at 8x12 (still won't fit on a letter sheet, but it will fit on legal)or
6.6 x 10.
