Change Volume License Key

Tom

Our organization got a hold of a computer with an illegal copy of Office XP
Pro installed. I have since purchased an additional valid license from
Microsoft on our Volume License program and I am wondering, can I simply
change the license number rather than have to reinstall the whole program?
I know how to do this with Windows XP, but what about Office?
Thank you in advance.

if you have volume licensing & enterprise media, it should be 2 seconds to
install it, since you have an AIP setup right? Dont tell me with volume
licensing keys & enterprise media you are installing office manually.....

start the uninstall, walk away while it is uninstalling, reboot (probably
not even necessary), start the push down the AIP via zen/ad/whatever, walk
away & do something else for awhile...tada, done.

With over 30 machines at our main location, you better believe I have an
AIP! This machine though is at a remote location and is all by its lonesome,
so it would be totally impractical to create an AIP when I can just install
from the disk.
Even a "walk away" reinstall would take longer than just changing the
license number. when I did this on Windows XP it took about two minutes!
So - by your response, am I to assume there is no way to just change the
license, and I will need to do a reinstall?
thanks in advance.
