Changing case in Office 2007

J

Anyone know if there is any way to change an entire selection from upper to
lower case in a text box?

TIA,
John Ski

Hi JoAnn,
Thanks for the response, but while that does work on selected text in Word,
it doesn't seem to work in a text box, such as one must use in Publisher or
PPT.

Cheers,
John

You didn't specify which program and Word seems to be the one most people
ask about. It also works for PowerPoint and to be perfectly honest with you,
I don't have access to Publisher at this moment to be 100% certain.

You may copy the corrected text back to Publisher or PPT from Word.

In Publisher, just high-light the text, Format, Font, All Caps.

Thank you Bob. I didn't think so but I didn't want to give the poster bad
info.

Thank you all for your input. I figured out the cut and paste after my post,
but was hoping I'd missed something obvious. How silly that it works in the
other text oriented progs., but not Publisher, eh? Oh well maybe in Office
2009...or 10.

Cheers,
John

It's (too) easy to think "If Word can do this, so can Publisher." But the
fact is that Word is Word and Publisher is Publisher. Publisher can do some
pretty neat stuff that Word can't. ;-)

What you could do is to select the text in Publisher, Edit - Edit Story in
Microsoft Word - select the text in Word and use Shift+F3. Close Word and
the text is in whatever case you selected in Word.

Now THAT is cool! Exactly what I was looking for, and it actually explains
why the "Change Case" command isn't in Pub...it's redundant since you can
"Edit Story in Word." I missed it.
Thanks again,
John
