Changing default "save as type"

Is it possible to set the default "save as type" from
html or whatever to .msg ? , can't find any option within
Outlook so assume it's a registry hack.

Did you ever find a resolution to this question? I've been looking for a
solution for quite some time and have never found an answer. I was hoping
you came up with something.
