Changing location of CD install

G

Gordon

I installed Office XP using the CDROM drive on my laptop. Due to the way
I have now set up my office hardware, the CDROM drive on my laptop is
not easily accessible. I do, however, have an external CD RW drive that
is very easily accessible. is there a way (registry key perhaps?) to
change the location that Office Setup points to when changing/repairing
Office?

thanks

IIRC, the first time that you need to conduct an Office Detect and Repair,
it will prompt you for the location and thereafter will continue to use the
new location. I am not aware of a registry tweak (not being a reg wizard)
that will allow you to set this in advance.
