Changing Remote Website-Publish Issue

I had published a website to ftp and later had to start using http. I
have spent days trying to get the remote website to change from the old
ftp to http. I was reading in some old discussions and used Steve's
suggestion to delete some history (cache). He was helping a girl in
Dec 05 who was struggling with this exact issue.

I can now go to remote website, select http: as the button choice, type
in the http:// address and the next box appears. This box already has
my username and so I go and enter the pw.

With no time, it immediately gives me this error message:
Unable to open 'http://mysite.com'.
Server error: server error: FrontPage security violation.
Possible Causes:
1 Web server may not have the frontpage server extensions installed.
2 web server may be temp out of service.
3 if you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may
be incorrect.
4 An error may have occured in the web server.

The server does have FP server extensions installed. I can go over to
my boss's pc with my website, he can copy it onto his pc and it will
publish just fine.

There still seems to be something that is in cache somewhere.

PLEASE can anyone give some direction here????

FOUND THE ISSUE!!! This should help so many although I don't have this
completely fixed yet. For all of you who are experiencing this same
issue (I have read of many!!) - try turning off your NORTON INTERNET
SECURITY. Immediately everything works! I can publish, error message
goes away.

The only thing is I do have the Norton Security "Permitting" FrontPage
but I still can't publish unless I turn it off. ANY SUGGESTIONS HERE?
