I am going to need to create a table of figures that will have the figure number and the first sentence of the caption. To do this, I would like to be able to have the figure number and the first sentence of the text in caption format. Then, I should be able to change the text following the first sentence to normal so that it will not show up in any lists. When I highlight the text I want to change and go to change the style to normal, Word automatically changes it back to caption. Is there any way around this?
