Changing the color of a picture in Word 2003

I have a jpg inside a Word document. The jpg contains only the colours black
and white. The black elements form a logo and I would prefer them to appear
as navy blue. The white should remain white. This seems such a small change
- the effect would be exactly the same as if I just filled the printer with
blue ink - but I can't figure out how to do it! Many thanks for any help.

AFAIK, you can't edit jpgs in a word processing program. You'll need to use a
graphics app to make the change, then insert the new version in your document.

There is a Recolor Picture command in Publisher that accomplishes just what
you ask--converts all the black in a picture to a selected color.
