changing the default internal sender for forms

Lance

Every form that is processed on my website (Apache on
UNIX) that has results retuned to an email has the
senders username as one chosen, it seems, from the top of
my users list. Is there a configuration file somewhere
that I can set what the default From address is for all
form submisisons or a place to program the form to
actually set who the From account is? This has been a
real pain in the butt!

Hi Lance,

If you're using the FP the from address is set in the FP extensions. Contact
your ISP / WPP and ask if they can change the address.

I did and they told me to go to the /usr/local/frontpage/
directory and edit domain_name:80.cnf Well, when I went
there, there is no cnf file for the domain name in the
root directory, all the others are in subhost
directories. And even then, I checked all 40 or so and
even one that was short called we80:cnf and all of them
have one of three addresses listed, none of which is the
what is in the from field. Furthermore, the name (with no
address) that is in the from friend is Ftp. I'm about to
give up but been frustrated with this for several years.

There is only one sent from email address and it must be changed in the
extension. You hosting company should chagne it.
