Changing the gradient fill on Slide Master Titles (2007)

PowerPoint 2007 Question:

I'd like to be able to change the colors in the gradient for Opulent's Slide
Master Title text, but can't for the life figure out how to do this. All I
seem to be able to do is make it a solid color. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve

There are 2 approaches - change the colours within the theme (which will
affect all the elements based on those theme colours) or alter the gradient
of just that text.

To change the theme colours: design tab -> colours -> create new theme
(looks like accent 4 is the colour that text is based on)

For more info on gradients see Echo's great tutorial (I would be lost
without her :)):

The first approach is the only solution. I discovered it last night thinking
that was the only place it could be changed. The gradient options for title
text are unavailable, which is odd as it seems they had to be created
somewhere.

Thanks for the response Lucy.

You're welcome.

Just so you know, the gradient options are there but can be difficult to
find...
1. View -> Slide Master
2. Select big 'Mother master' at top
3. Select Title Placeholder
4. Drawing Tools -> Format -> Text Fill drop down (in WordArt Styles
section) -> Gradient -> More Gradients
5. Select each of the 5 stops and change to desired colours (Echo's
instructions should help with this)
