Changing 'volume' and 'issue' numbers in monthly publications

A previous post suggested saving the current newsletter as 'publisher
template' then entering the new information. However, when I do this
Publisher does not update the 'issue' number.

How do I accomplish this without starting from scratch each month and even
then, get the 'volume' and 'issue' numbers to automatically update or change
them manually?

How would the program know what system you use for the designations? Do it
manually. You only have to change it on the cover.

Midge,

I create a monthly newsletter for our computer club. The Volume and Issue
number is updated manually, but the month is automated.

Chuck,

Thank you so much for your prompt and kind response to my question. It was
very helpful.

I even printed a copy of your newsletter for inspiration for my own. I would
love to share mine with you, but unfortunately the Board has only authorized
distribution to residents.

Hi Steve,

I was really trying to avoid the D&D thing and was hoping some things would
have been automated by now in the program. Plus, I got so caught up in the
excitement of putting out my first newsletter for puplication, I didn't think
of saving the empty template.

Midge,

Can't you have someone send a copy back to you?
