charting in access

I have a database in access and would like to create
charts based on a report. I do not have much experience
with access charts but have knowledge of excel charts.

Should I create charts in access or export the report to
an excel file and create charts in excel? I guess what I
am asking is whether access is good as a charting tool?
If it is, where do I find more info on the subject.

Thanks

Access uses MS Graph for charting. It is similar to Excel but with not quite
so many options/variations (I believe it is equivalent to the charting you
find in PowerPoint). There is a wizard for inserting charts that ties the
chart to a query or table and assists in formatting.

In Help, type in MS Graph - this brings up some information (in Access XP at
least). There is also a help file for MS Graph that installs wth office -
try searhcing on your pc for graph10.chm (the 10 is the version number of
Access XP, use the relevant number for your version). I believe I have also
coume across a programming help file for graph that contains details of the
object model but the filename eludes me now.
