Check for messagse so slow!

For some reason now after 6 years it takes about 30sec to check to see if
there is any messages both MS Outlook , newsgroups and MS O Express
Annoying!

Also getting this message when I try to access my Address Book [A programme
is trying to
automatically send e-mail on your behalf]
