Checking Logic

Hi All,
I am after any hints when it comes to checking Logic when a schedule is
completed.
Also is it possible to show the total resources for any given day when using
the resource usage sheet

Hi,

1. My favorite check is to insert the Total Slack column to look for
extremes.
A negative value needs immediate attention - you are late!
A very high value generally means you forgot a link - the tak si floating
between start and end which is rare: verify.

2. In Resource Usage, Project menu, Gorup by: Select Group. Then insofar
there are no values in Resource Group you will have your totals.
If there are any values in Resource Grouop then create a new group based on
an other empty field (f.i. Text19 or so)

I use a very abbreviated version of the Network Diagram to check linkages,
since they are virtually impossible to see on a Gantt with anything more
than 100 tasks or so.
The abbreviated version of the ND shows only the Task Name field. The box
size is reduce to be just big enough to show only the Task Name field, and
the distances between the boxes has been reduced to show more boxes (tasks)
on the screen. It is the only reliable way I know of to check all links,
and it also shows improperly linked tasks.
I use this in addtion to Jan's reccommendation.
Hope this helps in your world.
