Circle with Line in Upper Left Corner

Users of an applications are reporting a red cirle with a
line on the input form. They say that once this appears
they can not update or save. I have installed app on
their computer and they link to tables on network. Not
happening all the time. Everything is running Access97.
Any feedback would be great.
