Clarify Office 2003 SP2 Admin Install?

I've read the various posts regarding patching the Office 2003 Admin install
as pertaining to SP2. I'm still unclear as to how downloading the fullfile
version of SP2 patches the administrative install point. Running the
fullfile executable simply updates the Office version on the desktop if one
exists otherwise it responds with Office cannot be found.

How do I execute the fullfile version of SP2? When installing an admin
install point for Office 2003 I simply ran setuppro.exe /a from a desktop
(not the server).

Thanks,
Johnny

Hi Johnny,

To create an Office Admin Point (normally onto a server)
you need to have an Enterprise (volume) license key.
It's not supported in retail or OEM MS Office 2003 products.

Once you have created your Office Admin point choose what
method of updating you are going to use (there is more than
one choice and updating then recaching the Admin point is
no longer Microsoft's "first choice" method).
Here is some additional information on some choices:

The link for the maintenance document was helpful. I decide what my strategy
will be for updating office. Do you have any knowledge how to include
updates such as this in user's login profile so that an executable is run on
client PCs at login?

Thanks,
Johnny
