Clear Day stationary stripped on send or receive

Hi,

My Outlook crashed today (not sure why), and suddenly any email that
had been sent to me with Clear Day stationary was a white
background... i tried sending with CD stationary, and as soon as i hit
send, the background also went white, and was sent with no
stationary... this was not the case with any other of the default
stationaries...

i copied
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Clear Day
Bkgrd.jpg
to MyDocuments, and made a new stationary with it... same problem...
i renamed Clear Day Bkgrd.jpg to cdb.jpg and made a stationary with it
(in the default stationary folder), and that worked

i edited
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Clear
Day.htm
to use the renamed jpg, and went back to the system default Clear Day
stationary, and that worked

i copied Clear Day Bkgrd.jpg from another system to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Clear Day
Bkgrd.jpg

and put Clear Day.htm back to the original, and had the problem
again...
stationary comes up when i create a new mail message, and type the
message, but as soon as i hit send, it goes white, and is sent with a
white background...

i even reinstalled Outlook (it's office 2003)... been all through
security settings... format settings...
it seems that something about the name 'Clear Day Bkgrd.jpg' is
flagged in Outlook as bad now, and i can't figure out how/where/why...

i'm just sort of relentless with trying to pin down odd things like
this that don't make sense to me... in case it's may be flagging a
bigger problem...
any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thank-you!
