Clear Text field Clears Notes. Is this a Bug?

When I try to clear the contents of Text21, I select the Text21 column use
Edit/Clear/All, Text21 is cleared but so are all Notes in the Notes column!

Am I doing something wrong. How do I clear a Text field exclusively?

I'm not sure. If you look at the Clear submenu, it suggests all clears
everything in the submenu. I tested and Hyperlinks are cleared as well. So,
I suspect this is by design. I always use Ctrl+Delete to clear cells. With
the menu you should use Edit, Clear, Contents.
