click event on subform

Hi Al
I have a form with a sub form called Grid. I would like to click on a record in the Grid and populate the fields in the Main form. This should be simple, but I can not seem to get it. I have tried the docmd.goto but I can not get the syntax correct. I would like to trigger off of the id in the Grid and go to the same id on the form
