Clip Art won't print

Pamela

I'm using Publisher 97. I've inserted a clip art image into a flyer I'm
making by clicking on the frame, choosing the clip art and clicking on
Insert. Initially the clip art shows on the page just as normal, but when I
click Print, the image disappears and doesn't come back. I've never had this
problem before (been using Pub 97 with this computer and printer for quite
some time). I've checked that I'm using the latest drivers for my computer
graphics and my printer. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Does this happen with all images or just this one? What happens if you try the same
operation in safe mode? Is the flyer a new publication or an edit of an old one? Did
you upgrade the driver(s) before the edit?

Thanks Mary. Yes, it's happening with all images. It's a new flyer, not an
edit. I've tried to recreate it from scratch a couple of times and am having
the same problem every time. Safe mode doesn't seem to make a difference. I
upgraded the drivers before creating the document (just a routine upgrade,
not connected with the problems I'm having). I suspect I'm doing something
very dim, but I just can't figure out what it is.

I don't know what could be going on, especially since it is both the graphics and the
printer. Have you installed a new Office program lately? Maybe a .dll has changed.
What version Windows?
Could be the graphics filter has gone south. Look in the filters folder, rename the
..wmf filter to something else and drag a new instance from the setup disk, the
filters are in a folder similar to this
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt

All the knowledge base files are available for download in HTML:
PUB97: How to Obtain Publisher 97 Knowledge Base HTML Help File
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;185798

If all fails, you could try a re-install.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me Mary. I really appreciate it.
I'll take a look at the filters and see what's going on there. I've
installed some software lately, so you may well be right about the dll - I'll
check that out too.
