Can anyone help me with the following error message ? I’m not a Publisher
expert, so I’m passing on the information sent to me by our computer teacher.
Context :
OS = Windows 2000 SP4
Office XP (no SP)
Publisher 2003 (no SP)
Here’s the error:
When the students try to insert clip art, only on certain computers, the
following error comes up.
Clip Organizer cannot complete the operation-Error Code 0x800C0008
I clicked on the HELP button on the error dialog box and it gave me the
following information:
“You may have lost connection with the Clip Organizer Databaseâ€
Other observations. The error only occurs on certain computers and it
does not occur consistently for all users.
Note: In response to a comment from me, she adds:
In Publisher, Clip Art can always be accessed and inserted; it just
depends on how you go about doing it.
For example, there is an option that allows you to CHANGE A PICTURE, but
maintain the size and formatting of the original clip--that's the option
that doesn't work. I haven't encountered any problems with just plain
inserting. But, part of the functionality of Publisher has to do with
the pre-formatted pages, so the fact that they don't work all of the
time is counter-productive.
Any suggestions?
Would you recommend the SPs for Office XP and Publisher 2003?
Thank you in advance,
