clipart settings

I am trying to find a registry setting which controls the
default search settings for clipart in Office XP. By
default Websearch is checked and slows down the search
significantly. Does anyone know where I can change this?

Hi Matt

I dealt with this same issue a couple of months ago.....
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Clip
Organizer\ShowAutoImport=0.
Do a dummy search in Word (ie search for something - to
create a key in registry), then in the registry, delete
the 3rd key, and set search key to blank.)

Sorry. In my haste, I gave you the answer to 2 queries.

The reg key (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Clip

Organizer\ShowAutoImport=0) will stop the clip organiser

from prompting you to catalogue the clipart.

The next bit:
Do a dummy search in Word (ie search for something - to

create a key in registry), then in the registry (see key above), delete
the 3rd key, and set search key to blank.)

This will "turn off" searching the web for clipart by
default.
