Close archive folders - object not found

For some unexplained reason, when I go to close my archive folders in the folder list (by right-clicking on 'Archive Folders' in my list and choosing 'Close Archive Folders' from the drop-down menu) I get an error message: "The operation failed. An object could not be found". I've been closing my archive folders for ages in this way so can anyone please tell me why suddenly I'm getting this message?

Did you ever find an answer to your question, Tim, because I'm having the same problem. And I haven't been able to locate any information on the problem online or in the help files in outlook
