Hello Folks:

When someone replies to my e-mails in the text with a different color, it
comes to me as all black. Is there a setting in Entourage to ensure that
their color changes come back to me?

Thanks,
Kevin

Are these HTML messages? Are they actually changing colors, or is this
just quoted text?

Hi Adam:

I believe it's in HTML format - it's not just quoted text.

The process is as follows:

I receive an email from someone and then reply after I color certain parts
of their email and add text from myself with color; then they reply with
coloring of their own, but it comes back black.

Again, I am not sure if "they" are sending in HTML or not.

Many email clients, Entourage included, do funny things with text
styles. It's not a perfect medium and there's no way to guarantee that
what you send will look the way you want it when it is received, let
alone that it will make its way back to you in any recognizable form.

But Kevin wants to change the colors of specific text to highlight it. It
sounds like that won't work, unfortunately.

I got that. I just wanted to point out that's not the only solution.
Personally, there is way too much HTML mail getting in the way of
communication.
