Color Separation Issue for Service Bureau

I have a MS Publisher 2003 file that I have as the text as K-100%. Whenever I
pdf the file or make it a postscript file it embeds the file as the RGB
colorspace, even though I told it that I want to print the black color
separation. Does Publisher always embed the file as an RGB? I am trying to
give my service bureau something they can use without them going to alot of
trouble in Acrobat converting the colors.

When printing composite everything is still imaged as sRGB. The color
definitions remain as they were, spot, CMYK, gray, etc but are passed
through the Windows GDI which converts everything to sRGB.

So what do you do? There's not much you can do about it other than invest in
some software on your end. You're printer can invest in some software or
more likely the case learn to take better advantage of software they already
have.
