Colored, shaded bars in calendar view like Gantt chart

I have changed the color and shading of individual task in Gantt view.
When I switch to Calendar view I lose the formatting and from what I
can tell you can only change the formatting globally in Calendar view.

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

You're right, the Calendar view has many fewer facilities for formatting
compared with the Gantt Chart.
