colour not showing on page

A colour object inserted onto the page is not displaying the colour, but the
colour does in preview and when printed it prints the colour.

Just the one object or all color objects? Is it a image you imported or an autoshape
you filled?

This is actually for someone else, so until further notice I am assuming that
it is all colour autoshapes.

Have your someone else check the commercial printing options, could be he/she has
black and white checked.
It could be a video driver issue. Check the manufacturer's web site to see if there
is an upgraded driver.

The problem occurs all the time in Micosoft Publisher ie when
I put in background and when I colour fill Squares, circles or any other
shapes and also when I use autoshapes

Did you check out the video driver?

No, I haven't. Will be hard to do as this person is in another part of the
country and not computer literate. However will suggest that they get
someone who knows about computers to look at it for them. Thanks very much
