colouring text in a row

Hiya

Is it possible to colour the whole row if one cell has a certai
criteria in it

Im creating a new worksheet and if i put seconds in cell A1 i woul
like the whole row of text to be coloured red

or if i put splits in cell b1 i would like the whole row of text to b
coloured purple

Hi
have a look at 'Format - Conditional Formating'. Try the following:
- select row 1
- goto 'Format - Conditional Format'
- enter the formula
=$B1="splits"
- choose your format
