Command Button and Security Wizard

When I ran the security wizard to secure my database, the
command buttons were rendered useless.
I deleted them and tried to recreate them. I get the
error message:
Undefined function "AppLoadString" in expression.
Is there a way to create command buttons in a secure
database?

What does that mean? Did you get an error message when clicking on them?
Did they just do nothing? Are they disabled? Implementing security alone
would not do this. It's likely that you haven't set the needed permissions.
More information please.

Thank you for your reply. I will try to provide a better
description. I created the database with the command
buttons. I just copied it and tried the security again so
I could see the error messages. When I import the
original database into a brand new database, the command
buttons work. I can pull up my report at the click of the
command button. When I run the security wizard and try to
click on the command button, I get a message:
The expression On Click you entered as the event property
setting produced the following error: Network connection
may have been lost.
*The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the
name of a user defined function , or [Event Procedure].
*There may have been an error evaluating the function,
event, or macro.
I gave my account full permissions when I set up the
security.
I deleted the command buttons thinking I would just reset
them by making new ones, but I get the error message I
described in my original posted message.

Thanks. With the help of the link you provided, we were
able to fix the problem. The command buttons appear to be
working and I have user-level security installed!
