Command button to .xls fails

I have a command button on an Access form to open an Excel
spreadsheet with "call shell(strAppname)". It which worked
well until the client moved the file to a network share
with spaces in the foldernames. Now Excel thinks there are
multiple filenames and options. Is there any other way I
can launch the spreadsheet from a button that will work in
Access?
