Comments on VB 2005 or VBA as automation platform?

I'm using Visual Basic as a platform for automating development and data
interchange between spreadsheets (in Microsoft Excel) and word processing
documents (either in WordPerfect or Word). Although each application can
host VBA integration, sometimes I would like to be spreadsheet-centric, and
at other times I would like to be word processor centric. What are the
considerations in developing the automation software under Visual Basic 2005
rather than with VBA scripts hosted in the spreadsheet or word processor
applications?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

This is an interesting topic.
Same subject was handled in another newsgroup
word.vba.general

hmmm, I think the entire scope from PROs to CONs
(including emotions to go with it) is represented there.

Check it out I'd say.

Perry,

Thanks for the reference to microsoft.public.word.vba.general.

That discussion helped a lot.
