have office 2000 pro. am "upgrading" to 2003 student & teacher
question is: will stuff i created in 2000 still be readable in 2003, and will the stuff i do in 2003 be readable in other versions of office
i primarily bought office 2003 because i need the new capabilities of powerpoint 2003
also- will i be able to export data from excel 2003 to acceswss 2000?

In general, data for 2000 and 2003 should be interchangeable. However,
new features are added to new versions, which of course won't be
available in new versions. You may run risk of losing new feature data
when saving in 2003, then re-saving in 2002, then back to 2003.

I think access 2003 format is the only one which is different and not
backward compatible. not sure

You can surely export from Excel 2003 back to "access 2000", using any
number of different formats.

On thing which you may wish to check out ... I think there is no upgrade
path from the student teacher versions to future versions of office.
these versions are sold at big discounts and my recollection they are
not qualifiable to future upgrades.
