Yup, so long as they're not password protected.
2000 won't be able to access the new features introduced in 2002, of course.
Support for multiple masters is shaky, complex timeline animations aren't
there and I'm not sure what happens if you apply animations in 2000 to
objects that've been animated in 2002.
